  • Women have made significant progress in the legal profession. The number of women in the judiciary, academia and private practice has increased. Yet the percentage of women in leadership still lags behind the percentage of female law school graduates. Thus, barriers to professional success are still prevalent in the legal profession.

The Women’s Intellectual Property Law Association (WIPLA) and The Chinese American Lawyers of the Bay Area (CALOBA) are hosting a CLE-qualified program (Elimination of Bias in the Legal Profession) addressing the challenges women attorneys encounter in the legal profession. The panelists will share how they have managed the challenges of a professional career and what issues are of concern to young women entering the profession.
